Hi,

My name is Chuang Niu, most people also know me as Tron from the film visual effects industry.

I started my career in 2008 as a lighting and effects technical director at an animation studio in China, I soon moved to companies that focused on live-action projects. After spending some time in Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai, I moved to London in 2013 to further my journey as an effects artist / technical director.

Since then I have worked at DNEG, MPC and Industrial Light & Magic on various feature film projects including Star Wars, Jurassic World and Jungle Book.

In 2021 partly due to the Covid-19 pandemic and my curiosity towards real time interactive media, I switched to game industry, now I work at Tencent TiMi studios on their upcoming game project.

One of my lifelong passions is learning new things, now with this website I will keep sharing them with whoever might be interested in the same topics.
